I am installing an aluminum window with a nail flange in an exposed wall no overhang and know how to seal it to the wall tyvek. To add an extra layer of weather seal to the z flashing run a 1 4 inch continuous horizontal bead of exterior silicone caulking to the inner vertical section of the flashing before installing the next section of t1 11 siding over it. Caulk with silicone if you are not. Yes sectional view of the options would be appreciated.

Install t 111 siding with window openings cut out to the same size as framing. T1 11 siding is designed for installation on framing with standard 16 inch spacing. Paint the t1 11 first then install the window put on rubberized window flashing the peel and stick kind on each side and the top in that order and finally install miratec for trim. Leave 1 8 gaps between the trim pieces and between the trim and window.

You can attach them with exterior screws or galvanized nails. Wrap the house with house wrap or 15 mil tarpaper. If it does have a built in j channel extra care must be exercised to ensure a good seal between the j channel and the vinyl brick molding.
